Buildertrend, the #1 software for home builders and remodelers, is seeking an energetic and people-focused Talent Recruiter to help take us to the next level through acquiring exceptional talent to work for us.  The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the recruitment process through various tasks, from candidate screening through job offer execution while working closely with hiring managers and the human resources team. 


  • Manages all areas of recruitment process to include job postings, advertising, sourcing, screening, interviewing, qualifying, negotiating and extending offers. Ensures all aspects of pre-employment checklist are met
  • Seeks, develops and maintains relationships with recruiting sources, colleges and universities, prospective candidates, etc., in an effort to create a pipeline of highly competent and qualified professionals
  • Strategizes with hiring managers to accomplish weekly business growth goals and to project current and future headcount needs. Will have the ability to leverage proactive recruiting methodologies to support these strategies
  • Maintains applicant data in CRM and applicant tracking system providing timely updates to hiring managers and Manager of Talent Acquisition to include weekly report of recruitment activities
  • Organizes and participates in job fairs and other outreach recruitment activities as assigned
  • May perform other duties as required and assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 2 - 5 years of progressive recruiting experience required
  • Experience in a corporate recruitment or staffing/recruitment setting is preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of internet recruiting practices, sourcing and job posting
  • Knowledge of and experience with applicant tracking and CRM systems
  • Knowledge of labor and employment laws
  • Knowledge of various positions associated with skilled trades is preferred
  • Ability to build and maintain strong networking relationships
  • Ability to travel 15% of time (Nebraska, mostly local travel only)
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple business units and departments
  • Ability to communicate effectively to employees and leaders at all levels
  • Skills in time management, prioritization, organization and multi-tasking
  • Skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Social Media and Recruiting Strategies (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)
